Welcome to Rose!
A passion project I have wanted to make for probably my entire career, and finally with access to some free time, I finally did it!
This is a VERY early release in the project, but it is at an initial playable stage.
Work to add more UI, game rules and better matchmaking is on the way.
The game basically works as follows
- Both players start with a leader each and 50 health.
- Each turn a leader can move 1 space in any direction in NSWE.
- Each turn the leader can summon 1 Soldier, Trap or Magician on any neighbour cell including diagonally.
- The leader can set the summoning cost of each soldier at the sacrifice of that much health.
- The soldier then summons with that health. Health also doubles as soldier attack.
- Traps are always summoned as cost of 3, but are hidden to your opponent
- Magicians are always summoned as a cost of 4.
- Each Terrain has a different bonus and the maps are procedural each match.
- Traps will explode on damage and change the terrain.
- Magicians can target 2,3 and 4 cells in any direction, and deal 2 damage, but take 3 damage in return.
- The goal is to defend your leader from enemy attacks.
- An attack on your leader will do direct damage.
- An attack on your soldiers will result in both taking damage. With death occurring at 0.
- If you don't summon on a turn, your leader takes 1 damage.
